YouTube announced their most anticipated initiative YouTube TV in February this year. Then, they launched it officially in last April. At the time of launch, it was available in a few markets only. Now it is available in very few markets in the United States including New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay Area and LA.
Today, Google announced the availability of the service in more markets. As per the announcement, it will be available in more countries by mid-July. In the announcement, Google said:
We are really excited about YouTube TV and pleased that it will be expanding to ten more markets in just a couple of weeks, including: Dallas-Fort Worth, Washington, D.C., Houston, Atlanta, Phoenix, Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Miami-Fort Lauderdale, Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne and Charlotte. YouTube TV was built for the YouTube generation that loves live TV but wants it delivered in a way that suits their mobile and flexible lifestyles.
