Chinese manufacturer Xioami has unveilled the most awaited successor in Redmi Note series, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. The device seems like an upgrade from its predecessor Redmi Note 3, but the specs are not at all nice upgrade except in case of Processor. The smartphone will be the best opponent for its rivals from China itself, like Lenovo Vibe K5 Note, LeEco Le 2, etc.
Company had teased the device a few hours ago, and it is now official.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sports a inch FHD Display, with a slight curved 2.5D Glass. The smartphone is powered with Deca-Core MediaTek Helio X20 SoC clocked at 2.1 GigaHertz, paired with Mali T880 GPU. The device sports the rear camera of 13MP with aperture of f/2.0, coupled with the 5MP front facing camera, having a real-time beauty selfie mode.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has two variants, as usual. The first one is of 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The latter consists of 3GB RAM and 64GB native storage, both can be upgraded upto 128GB via SD Card.
As the Lenovo had launched Vibe K5 Note with 3GB/4GB variants, it would be disappointing among smartphone fans with the 2GB/3GB Variant RN4 devices. But in terms of processor, it looks better comparatively. But the Snapdragon processors score more than Helio SoCs in terms of Efficiency and Power. It is expected to have the Snapdragon Processors for Indian variants (probably SD652 or higher). Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 supports 4G connectivity, with the ultra-fast and efficient 4G+.
By the structure, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is very similar to the Redmi Note 3, with the same metal unibody design with the circular Camera and fingerrint modules attached vertically. The device is priced at RMB 899 (~$135) for the 16GB model and RMB 1199 (~$180) for the 32GB Variant. The powerful mid-ranger smartphone will be available in three colours – Silver, Gray and Gold.
