Xiaomi is all set to launch the company’s mid-range smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A in China on August 21, just a few days ahead. From the past days, we have all seen many of the official renders and teasers of the smartphone which have been outed by the Xiaomi and its officials including the president Lin Bin via Weibo. Today, Lin has also published another teaser image of the forthcoming Redmi Note 5A, claiming to arrive with a 16 Megapixel selfie camera on the front.
The President of Xiaomi has announced that – apart from the 16MP sensor on the front, the company also provides s soft light flash to the front which will make the selfies much better.By adding 16MP selfie camera to the company’s budget lineup, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A has become the cheapest selfie-centric smartphone. Even the many rivals coming from China itself are selling their devices with bigger selfie cameras as a big USP. Like every single time Xiaomi had managed to keep the smartphone pricing at the low level, but with better quality hardware, the Selfie-centric smartphones are also undoubtedly going to become popular among average smartphone buyers. The device will be priced at just between 700-1000 CNY only, which is merely translated to $120 – $150 (7500-9500 INR).
In case you missed, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A was leaked to be launched with a 5.5 inch Full HD display, powered by Snapdragon 425 Chipset under the hood. The smartphone will have 2GB of RAM, paired with 32GB internal storage. The primary camera at the rear panel could carry only a 13MP sensor. There also several rumors suggesting that the Xiaomi is planning to launch the device in India shortly after the China launch.
