The most anticipated update of this year for the Xiaomi smartphone users announced back in last month, July and the MIUI 9 Beta rollout has been reached to its first batch of devices. The update is being provided on an incremental basis as over the air update, starting this month. Xiaomi announced this message through their latest blog post, along with the list of the next line of smartphones to which the Xiaomi MIUI 9 will be receiving.
The second batch of devices receiving the Global beta update include:
- Mi MIX
- Mi Note 2
- Mi 5
- Mi 5s
- Mi 5s Plus
- Mi Max 2
- Mi Max
- Redmi 4 (Qualcomm version)
- Redmi 4X
Users should notice that the update is not yet the Final Stable Build, while it is the Global Beta ROM installing it will be prone to some risks and other potential issues. The latest version made available to the Mi and Redmi phone is the MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM 7.8.24. The latest ROM is based on the Android Nougat 7.0 with its highlighting features like Image search, Smart assistant, and Smart app launcher.
MIUI 9 has reduced the App launching time, that is being supported by the CPU acceleration and haptic feedback improvements. Also, the app running in the foreground will have major CPU Priority from this update. The Xiaomi has also shared that the MIUI users have crossed 2.8 billion active users from 142 countries, speaking 55 languages along with the Update has been found highly recommended with a 94.62% success rate.
You can avail the MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM update from here. If you are running on MIUI 8 Global Beta ROM, then you can use the MIUI Updater app for the same. While, the MIUI V5, MIUI 6, MIUI 7 and MIUI 8 stable ROM users will have to go to the “fastboot” method to flash the Beta ROM that wipes the device storage. Make sure that you do a complete backup of the device before starting to update.
