As like every year, the Chinese Budget king Xiaomi has given another flagship device for this year under their sleeves, and apparently, it would be listed as the Mi 7. The smartphone will replace the Xiaomi Mi 6 flagship launched earlier last year, with a competing hardware specification but an affordable price tag compared to other brands. The smartphone for this year would also be sported with a tremendous amount of hardware package, wearing a dual camera and bezel-less taller display. As the company has been planning to release the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s flagship with a possible under screen fingerprint scanner, we could not predict an exact date for the Mi7 launch. However, the device will see the light before May 2018, hopefully.
Coming to the hardware specifications of the smartphone, we should start with the display, as usual. The top-tier ‘pocket-friendly’ smartphone will be shipped with a 5.61-inch or 5.99-inch, taller Super AMOLED display, having an aspect ratio of 18:9. Even though many other competent Original Equipment Manufacturers from Chinese provinces have started deploying the iPhone X like-notch on the top of the display, the Xiaomi seems to have abandoned the idea. The company will keep the same old design, but the sensors on the top may get relocated on the device.
Like every other 2018-flagships, the Xioami too will power the smartphone with Qualcomm’s Octa-Core Snapdragon 845 System-on-Chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM onboard. The market is expecting higher variant with the storage space of 128GB or 256GB and is likely to happen at the launch time. Ther would be no expanding slot for an SD Card in the smartphone, merely like its predecessor. Coming to the camera department, Xiaomi Mi 7 will sport a dual lens setup on the rear. The primary camera setup sensors are not exposed yet. According to several earlier leaks, the Xiaomi Mi 7 will come with a dual combo of 16MP sensors, or a 16MP+20MP combo, having an aperture of f/1.7, and 2X Zoom capability. The rear camera will have a 4-axis Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), but sure if both the lenses would sport the tech. On the other hand, the front-facing selfie camera department is flourished with an 8 Megapixel sensor.
Concerning the recent trends, the smartphone will either be shelled with a ceramic body panel or glass-metal back panel. The colours of the smartphone to be made available are Black, White and Blue. The smartphone is expected to be priced around USD 450, which is approximately near to INR 30,000.
