As a follow-up to the Black Shark series of gaming smartphones, Xiaomi released an upgraded version of their powerful machine Black Shark Helo in China today. The smartphone comes with almost similar scheme of hardware on the board, though, with improved phases of the key features including the RAM and the display.
Let us go through the specifications of the all-new Xiami Black Shark Helo smartphone. The device comes with a slightly bigger, 6.01-inches Full HD+ AMOLED display. The screen refresh rate is still 60Hz, lags behind the Razer Phone/Razer Phone 2 with 120Hz of refresh rate. Still, the 60Hz refresh rate is good enough to run the games in decent quality without flickering issues, not buttery smooth as Razer Phones. The smartphone packs a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 Chipset under the hod, along with a humongous 10GB of RAM. Previously, we were tipped with the Xiaomi’s Mi MIX3 which could become the first 10GB RAM smartphone. However, the Xiaomi still stays the first brand to implement 10 gigs of memory on to a smartphone.
Additionally, the secondary storage level comprises of 128GB and 256GB of Internal Storage space, which might not be able to expand using an SD Card. The ain camera department boasts a combo of 12MP+20MP sensors, as well as a 20MP front-facing one. The smartphones will be shipped with Android 8.1 Oreo, topping MIUI 10 skin. Xiaomi Black Shark Helo is also boosted up with a 4,000mAh battery pack, along with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
Adding up some extra features, we could get the smartphone’s 10GB RAM version with a game controller case with analog sticks on both ends. Also, the device has a dedicated game mode hardware buttons to utilize the best of its hardware resources. The smartphone will be on sale in China very soon, starting at CNY 3,199, which is roughly translated to USD 460. So far, there is no confirmation regarding the price and availability details of the Xiaomi Black SHark 10GB variant.
