An unannounced Xiaomi flagship smartphone was spotted on the benchmarking website GFXBench earlier yesterday, with specifications seems identical to the company’s latest flagships. The smartphone has been earlier leaked to be the MI MIX 2 bezel-less flagship, but it never was. Now, the smartphone again leaks in benchmarks.
Xiaomi Chiron, according to the GFXBench is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM The smartphone has a 5.6-inch Full HD display, which we never saw on any other devices so far. The main camera department houses a 12MP sensor on the rear, which supports 4K video shooting, Auto FOcus, HDR, etc. The selfie snapper on top of the front panel seems to have the resolution of 5 Megapixels. The smartphone has humongous storage space of 256GB onboard, apparent from the Benchmark results. The smartphone runs MIUI must be version 9) based on Android 7.1.1.
As we are not clear about the device spotted on GFXBench, supposed to be launched soon, there is only room for assumptions. We would suspect that another flagship from Mi series is oncoming, might be in Mi flagship lineup or Mi Note series. As the company had already launched Mi Note 3 and Mi MIX 2 in China last week, the more chance goes to Mi 6 Plus, which was actually anticipated to have launched along with the Mi 6 or Mi MIX 2. The device can also be an upgraded version or second variant of Mi MIX2 or Mi Note 3.
