The 38th week on 2017 has not seen many exciting announcements, yet quite a usual one. Several product launches and some of the leaks have covered the last week in AndroidHits. As usual, we are here to review an entire week, mentioning the hot headlines from last week – Week 38 of 2017.

Google Tez Announced

Google India has announced the company’s own Unified Mobile Payment platforms for Indian users, apart from the Android Pay. The Tez differs a lot from the conventional Mobile payment platform or Android Pay technology using NFC. Using Tez, now anyone within India can send and receive money to the contacts. While registering for Tez, it auto detects the mobile number and connects with the corresponding bank accounts connected with the subscriber using secure UPI (Unified Payment Interface) by Government of India.

ASUS launched Verizon’s LTE-only Zenfone V

ASUS in the USA last week had launched a premium level smartphone, ASUS Zenfone V. The smartphone only supports LTE networks, exclusive to the only carrier aggregator Verizon Wireless. The smartphone has a 5.2 inch Full HD display, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Kryo CPU alongside 4GB of RAM. The smartphone has 32GB of internal storage, with many of the company’sown integrations like Tru2Life display technology, Speaker techs, etc.

Panasonic Eluga Ray 500 And Eluga Ray 700 introduced in India

Budget series smartphones from Panasonic have launched in India – Panasonic Eluga Ray 500 and Eluga Ray 700. Both the smartphones pack identical hardware specifications. Meanwhile, the Ray 500 packs a dual rear camera. The Eluga Ray 500 smartphone has only an HD display on top measured to 5-inches whereas the latter packs a 5.5 inch Full HD display panel. Under the hood, the smartphones sport MTK6737 and MTK6753 with 3GB RAM respectively.

Google Devices Leak

One of the massive leak we have ever seen so far in 2017, almost every forthcoming Google devices have been exposed through a leak several days ago. The leak includes Google’s Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, PixelBook from Chromebook series, Google Home Mini and Daydream View VR headphone. The entire leak showcased every single detailed photograph of each device.

Meizu M6 launched in China

Chinese manufacturer Meizu has launched the company’s latest entry-level smartphone Meizu M6 in China with 2GB and 3GB RAM options. The smartphone is powered with MT6750 from MediaTek SoC, featuring 5.2 inches Full HD display. The device has 16GB and 32GB of internal storage options respectively, sporting 13MP rear sensor and 5/8MP front-facing camera.

Google bought Pixel team from HTC

Internet giant Google had last week acquired the Pixel smartphone team from HTC and they now have the right to make use of the intellectual property from Taiwanese Giant. By taking over the HTC’s special team worked for Pixel smartphones, Google is heading straightly towards the smartphone manufacturing and hardware designing arena, competing against the main rivals like HTC, Samsung, LG, etc.

Vivo X20 And X20 Plus announced in China

Vivo announces the company’s latest flagship series smartphones VIvo X20 and X20 Plus in China. The smartphones have 6-inch and 6.4-inch 18:9 ratio displays respectively. Both the smartphones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, 4 gigs of RAM onboard. The smartphones have dual camera setup on the rear, makes some resemblance towards Oppo R11 Plus.

  1. Waiting for the pixel 2 like hell. But it is not happening? And any guess abt pricing? Heard that Google is gonna charge more than the iPhone x for Pixel 2. Wtf? Do you think it is gonna sell out ? I don’t think so. Not everyone can be apple.
