Vivo, one of the leading Chinese brands, today launched their second smartphone in 2017. Today, Vivo announced the launch of their new smartphone Vivo Y55s in India. The new device is a mid-range one, and the pricing is also good. It costs Rs.12,490 and offers some decent features as well.
The new Vivo Y55s comes with a 13.22cm (5.2) HD (1280×720) display. The screen size is almost nice for the Indian customers, but still, 5.5 inch devices are more prominent in India. The device is powered by a 1.4GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, and it is not that great for this price. The SD 425 is purely an old processor, and it doesn’t satisfy the pricing. The other features include a 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. You can use a microSD card to increase your storage space up to 256GB.
The camera part includes a 13MP Rear Camera and a 5MP Front Camera. The new Vivo Y55s runs on the Vivo’s own Funtouch OS 3.0 on top of the Android Marshmallow 6.0. The battery capacity is 2730 mAh, and it is not great for the price. Vivo could have focused more on the battery side. But sadly, they didn’t. Talking about the launch, Mr. Kent Cheng, CEO of Vivo India said, “After the success of Vivo V5 Plus, we hereby strengthen our Y series portfolio with the launch of this power packed device, the Y55s.
