Google has been added Sony Xperia Line of series devices to feel the upcoming Android N OS’ Developer Preview 2, started with Xperia Z3. Now, the Sony Xperia Z3 is the only non-Nexus device to support Android N Developer Preview from Google in advance. The Image file of Android N Developer Preview 2 for Sony Xperia Z3 is now available to download for flashing it on the device.
Obviously, it is very clear that Google will push out the future updates and Developer Previews for upcoming OS versions to Xperia devices also, especially to Z3 earlier than any device. According to the Google’s announcement on Google+ page :
The Xperia™ Z3 joins Nexus 5X, 6, 6P, Nexus Player, the Pixel C tablet and General Mobile 4G (Android One) in giving you an early look at the next version of Android. Sony has been working closely with us to bring you the N Developer Preview on Xperia™ for early testing and development.
To get started, you can download the latest N Developer Preview from Sony (currently Developer Preview 2, available at the link below) and manually flash it to your device. You’ll then receive future Developer Preview updates over-the-air, direct from Sony.
If you have owned a Sony Xperia Z3, download and flash it on you r device to become one among the first who have installed Android N Developer Preview on a non-Nexus device. As the Google declared in the announcement that Sony’s Xperia range had completely joined to the Android Developer Preview community, we could expect more Xperia device to taste the Android N Developer Preview in coming days, keep your eyes open.
