As promised Skype team has brought the all new Skype 8.0 to the Google Play store. About a week ago, Skype team has announced that they are releasing a new version for their Skype app for both iOS and Android. Now as promised, the new version is live at the Google Play store, but 1 week later.

The new Skype update brings a bunch of new features and improvements to the main app including some UI tweaks. It includes a completely re-arranged group messaging system, Find panel etc. The update includes a Snapchat stories like feature named as Skype Highlights. So it appears that the Skype became the last platform who adopted Snapchat feature.

The newly introduced Find panel makes it easier to search within the app. It looks more like the WhatsApp menus and it is clean now. In addition to that, the update contains a new user interface and more color options. The Skype interactions are now more attractive and user-friendly. You can respond to Highlights with stickers and emojis.
