Back in March 2017, Samsung unveiled their new smartphone models Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+. Now, according to a report, Samsung has started working on the Android Oreo update for the Galaxy S8 models. Few days ago, Google has released the final version of the Android 8.0. So, now it is the time for OEMs to develop their custom UIs with the Android 8.0. As per the report of SamMobile, they are now working on the beta builds of Oreo update in Galaxy S8 and S8+ devices.
The firmware versions for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ could be G955FXXU1BQI1 and G950FXXU1BQI1 respectively. But we have no information regarding the release date of the update for the stable users. However, it also suggests that the update won’t have all Oreo features. Samsung is expected to roll out a beta update for the testing purpose. Samsung is aiming to focus more on the performance and smoothness rather than some unwanted new features. Fewer features with more performance are better than unwanted features with poor performance.
To recall, OnePlus has already started rolling out Android Oreo update for the closed beta members. OnePlus 5 devices in the closed beta program are now receiving the beta update of Android 8.0 Oreo.
