Samsung releases Oreo update for S8 series in China

Samsung finally released the official Android upgrade to the Galaxy S8 and S8+ devices in China. The new update is currently rolling out to the devices in the country. While releasing, the company had promised the buyers that it would be updated to Android Oreo Operating System soon. Now, a report coming from China suggests that the smartphone is getting an update to Android Oreo starting today. The update weighs around 1396.38MB and is officially available now.

The update includes all the general improvements of Android Oreo and enhances the entire performance of the device. You can experience great usability and improved battery performance in this new build. The camera performance was also improved. It has so many invisible background changes and enhancements. The new features include Biometrics – it allows biometric (Face, Iris or Fingerprint) log in for apps and websites if you have selected a secure lockscreen type (pattern, PIN or password). There are notification badges on homescreen icons, contextual options when you press and hold on an app icon, the keyboard has been revamped with a new toolbar with quick access, and a GIF, there’s a new Bixby panel and more. With this update, they included a batch of 60 new emojis as well.
