Samsung India has just launched their third generation version for Gear smartwatches – Gear S3 in India. The Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch was launched last year in Berlin IFA, on August as the successor to Gear S2 which came with two variants. As like its predecessor, Gear S3 also comes with 2 variants – Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Classic made up of jewellery-grade 360L stainless steel.
Both the Gear S3 Frontier and Classic variants differ from each other only in design, and the rest inside the cage is same. The Samsung Gear S3 features a 1.3-inch circular sAMOLED (Super AMOLED) display, which is larger compared to the previous generation. The smartwatch has 768MB RAM and 4GB internal storage, runs on a 1GHz Processor. The Gear S3 is waterproof with IP68 Certification and has a 380mAh battery to run all along day and night. The two smartwatches are not Android based instead, they use Samsung’s own Tizen OS.
The Frontier variant for Gear S3 is more sporty and the Classic is way more simple in look. Both also support Samsung Pay, Wireless charging, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, etc. And additionally, the frontier version is standalone which has a 3G/LTE SIM Slot and microphone to talk. The heart rate monitor fixed on the smartwatch too could bring you to have a better life.
You can now order the Samsung Gear S3 in India from major Samsung outlets, and authorized dealers. The Samsung Gear S3 supports any smartphone with Android OS 4.4.4 Kitkat and RAM more than 1.5GB.
