OnePlus X Smartphones are currently running on Android Lollipop , Oxygen OS. Most of the OnePlus communities from official and facebook where full of queries asking about the Marshmallow arrival for OnePlus X smartphones. Now it’s time, but not completely.
OnePlus have not debuted anything regarding that they were working on Marshmallow update for OnePlus X users. Now the OEM had released a “Community Build” of Oxygen OS 3.1 for OPX devices. The current version is as similar as the normal Beta version for Programs or OSs. There will be many changes in the build all the Marshmallow features included under the core, along with the OP’s unique features like new Shelf UX, new icons, wallpaper picker,New Alert Slider settings with more customization options and many.
The update includes two new apps named OnePlus Music Player and OnePlus Gallery, which came along with the August Security patch. As the SW is currently in Community Build stage, there would be some issues and some are known :
- Mobile network stability issues in some regions
- Some 3rd party apps may experience some compatibility issues
- Language localization is still being improved
