Chinese smartphone manufacturing giant OPPO launches its subbrand Realme in India, with their first smartphone Realme 1. The smartphone was expected to come in the primary entry-level category. But the hardware specifications put the device among the mid-range competitors.
Realme 1 smartphone comes with a Full HD+ display, with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The device is powered with the MediaTek Helio P60 Chipset, one of the first 12nm AI Processor. The company releases the device mainly in three memory variants, with 3GB, 4GB and 6GB RAM onboard. The three variants come with storage variations of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB respectively.
Oppo realme 1 sports a 13MP rear-facing camera, along with an 8MP front camera. The company offers AI-powred software assistance, along with the AI-capabilities of the Helio P60. The device will be shipped with Android 8.1 Oreo, boosted up with a battery pack of 3,410mAh. The dual-SIM supporting smartphone arrives with connectivity features including LTE, WI-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and basic sensors including the Ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and Accelerometer sensor.
The pricing factor is where the OPPO literally amused everyone. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs. 8,990 for the 3GB+32GB variant, Rs. 10,990 for 4GB+64GB variant and finally the 6GB+128GB version at Rs. 13,990. The smartphone is available exclusively on Amazon, starting from May 25th onwards. The color variants available are Diamond Black, Moonlight Silver and Solar Red.
