Oppo launched their newest smartphone in China. Today in a press event, Oppo announced the launch of their new smartphone Oppo A3 with iPhone X-like notch and 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone launched in the country for CNY 2,099, roughly converted to Rs. 22,100 and $330. The device is now available for purchase in the country, starting today at offline stores. For a limited time, you can purchase the smartphone for just CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs. 21,000) as an introductory offer.
The new Oppo A3 comes with a 6.2-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) LTPS display with a pixel density of 405ppi and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The phone looks similar to the recently launched Oppo F7 from the front side. It has a screen notch on the top front portion of the screen. The Oppo A3 runs on an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 processor clocked up to 2GHz.It has a 4GB of RAM under the hood and a 128GB of internal storage. You can further expand the storage space for up to 256GB using a microSD card.
Talking about the camera department, It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with a dual-tone LED flash and an aperture size of f/1.8. At the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera with an aperture size of f/2.2. The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The sensors in the smartphone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor.
This dual SIM smartphone comes with a 3,400mAh battery, and it runs on an Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.0. ColorOS is the custom UI used by Oppo on their smartphones. It has some additional features such as AI-based beautification, scene recognition features, gaming mode, AI-based smart assistant, and 128-point face recognition. The smartphone comes in Black, Silver, Pink and Red colours.
