Since the global launch, OnePlus 5 was receiving a lot of complaints and problem reports. Some users reported benchmark cheating and jelly scrolling fault. OnePlus resisted all these allegations. But now, another problem popped out and they couldn’t stay silent. Many of the users reported that the OnePlus 5 device reboots when you can any emergency service like 911, 112 etc.
Unexpectedly, OnePlus promised that they will fix this issue with a software update. In a statement, OnePlus said, “We have been in touch with the customer and have tested a software update that has resolved the issue. We will be rolling out the software update shortly.”
“We have contacted the customer and are currently looking into the issue. We ask anyone experiencing a similar situation to contact us at [email protected],” OnePlus said in a statement to Gadgets 360, reserving any explanation. And now, they are promising that they can fix this issue with a software update.
This doesn’t seem to affect earlier models, though last year the OnePlus One (running CM13) did have a similar problem(there was no official response in the OnePlus forum thread). Only the newer models of the OnePlus 5 are affected by this problem. Let us know if you face any such issues in your device.
