HMD Global has recently launched the second generation for its Nokia 6 smartphone in China, namely Nokia 6 (2018). While releasing, the company had promised the buyers that it would be updated to Android Oreo Operating System soon. Now, a report coming from China suggests that the smartphone is getting an immediate update to Android Oreo at the very first boot itself, surprisingly.
We have not seen any other manufacturers doing the same for their smartphones in case of the SOftware updates, even if they promise they do. We could really appreciate this aggressiveness of HMD Global in bringing the updates to newly launched smartphones this faster. It is not the first time that the HMD surprises their customers with the update rollouts. The company has been promising the faster delivery of new updates on their every device; the company manages to keep the word real so far.
Apart from the update, another interesting thing we came to know about the device was that it supports Google Play store, but not pre-installed. In case you wish to install the Google Play services on the Nokia 6 (2018), you are supposed to download the APK and install it manually. The first generation Nokia 6 too had the same issue.
