It has been a while since the Samsung has launched their mid-ranger smartphone in A series, the Galaxy A3 (2017) in Europe. Until now, the neither OEMs nor carriers have shown any kind of aggression to bring any sort of update to the smartphone in European countries. After a long time, the company has last released a new update which includes an Android security patch from May.
The smartphone users have gotten upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat from the Marshmallow 6.0.1, which it shipped with. After that major update, this is the first time the Samsung rolling out the update fro A3 2017 version users. The new OTA update has just begun rolling out to several users with Security Patch and several improvements n performance and experience. As the security patches are critical and necessary to smartphone security, users are highly recommended to update as soon as they receive the notification.
The update is currently live for devices with model number SM-A320FL, which is European. The update will gradually move to more devices in coming days, so wait for your turn. The update will change the Security Patch level to 1 May 2017 in smartphones after installation (Check on Settings > About). Let me know if you have already started receiving roll out.
