We are only a few hours away from the official debut of the LG G7 ThinQ. The company already announced the official launch date as May 2nd, which is tomorrow. Ahead o the launch, several official press images of LG G7 ThinQ leaked online, showing the design and colour variants. The smartphone will be coming in different colour variants including Red, Dark Blue and Marine Blue (greenish).
We have already seen a lot of leaks and renders of the LG G7 ThinQ lately. Now, the latest ones just confirm the fact we previously discussed. There is apparently a display-notch on the top of the display. LG ever had been unique among other brands, with its design and features. But this time, it is not sure how come they started following other brands.
The dual rea-camera module has a chromium border finish around it. Furthermore, the bezels seem narrower. Even though the notch is present on the top, borders still look a little thicker. On the top space, the front-facing camera is placed in the middle, while both sides sport earpiece speaker.
Like LG introduced taller 18:9 display last year to the market, this time comes to a new taller ratio. As per the reports, the company is working on a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 6.1-inch screen, including the made-up space due to the notch. LG G7 ThinQ would be powered with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 SoC under the hood, coupled with 6GB of RAM. One of the dual-camera sensors on the rear must contain a 120-135 degree wide angle lens. The main camera module will be of 16MP, having an aperture of f/1.5 or f/1.6. Also, the device will come with a BoomBox Sound technology, having 6dB+ extra volume and double bass.
The smartphone will be available to purchase soon after the global release, with a price tag less than USD 800.
