Lenovo finally launched its most awaited devices in China. One among them is the Lenovo Z5, the so-called ‘bezel-less’ smartphone we all have been waiting for. Well, the smartphone is not really a complete bezel-less smartphone. Aside, the company also announced a new hybrid smartwatch with many features.
Lenovo Z5 was expected to come with a full-screen design, without any notch or bezels on the chins to beat the Vivo’s forthcoming NEX smartphone. Even the company officials kept teasing the same. But unfortunately, the smartphone does have a notch at the top chin, and it is just like any other notched smartphone out there. The device has a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The underhood of the device is provided with an octa-core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 Chipset, paired with 6GB RAM on board. There is no 4TB Internal Storage as they teased before. The device comes with a 64GB Internal Storage which is expandable up to 256GB.
Also, the Lenovo Z5 does not sport a massive battery. It comes with a typical 3300mAh battery pack, supported by an 18W fast charger. On the rear, the device features a 16MP+8MP sensor combo, along with an 8MP front-facing selfie snapper. The primary camera supports True3D and 4K recording. The midrange smartphone is available to buy in China at just CNY 1299, which is roughly translated to USD 200.
Along with the smartphone, the company also released a new smartwatch – Lenovo Watch X. It comes with a round dial OLED display. It does also have an air and blood -pressure sensor, along with other basic wearable sensors found commonly. The 600mAh battery pack offers 45 days of standby. You can purchase the base variant for CNY 299, and the Explorer Edition at CNY 399.
