Instagram brings recommended posts feature to their app

As announced, Instagram is bringing their new feature to their apps. Starting soon, Instagram app on Android and iOS device will show you recommended posts in your feed. Instagram will now display a “Recommended for You” section after you’ve scrolled through all of your posts. The section is comprised of three to five posts that Instagram thinks would interest you.

This isn’t the first time Instagram has offered recommended content. But previously, you’d have to head to the Explore section to see recommended posts and videos – they wouldn’t be pushed to your home feed. You could also see what posts friends have been liking in the Following section, if you chose.

When scrolling through Feed, you may see posts that are Recommended for You. These posts are suggested based on posts liked by accounts you follow. You can choose to temporarily hide Recommended for You posts.
