We have seen a lot of teasers and hints from the Xiaomi social media pages regarding the official availability of the new Note series device in the Redmi family. Now, the official Facebook page of Xiaomi India has confirmed the launch of Redmi Note 4 on January 19. After that, official social pages of Flipkart have also started the promotion which talks about the exclusive sale of Redmi Note 4 on their website. And finally, Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain has also confirmed the news.
If you don’t know, the device was first launched in China in August, last year. At the time of China launch, there were two variants of the smartphone available. They are 2GB RAM/16GB storage and 3GB/64Gb variants, and they cost CNY 899 (approximately Rs. 9,000) and CNY 1,199 (around Rs. 12,000) respectively. When considering the trend, we can expect the same pricing in India too. If they are offering these devices for this expected price, it will become another top selling device like it’s predecessor Redmi Note 3.
The all new Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 chipset in China. But according to the company policies, they will launch the Snapdragon variant in India. It offers a 5.5 inch full HD 2.5D curved glass display with 401 ppi pixel density. The other specs include a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, 5-megapixel front camera with 85 degree wide angle lens, Mali-T880 MP4 GPU and a 4,100 mAh battery. The device will be running on Android Marshmallow flavored with EMUI 8 out of the box.
