Today in a press event in Delhi, Huawei India unveiled the latest members to their smartphone lineup in the country. The new Huawei P20 series just made its debut in Indian market. The P20 series smartphones include the flagship P20 Pro and the midrange P20 Lite. Both of these smartphones feature fullview displays and Leica-powered camera modules.
Concerning the latter variant Huawei P20 Pro, it could be one of the first smartphones to have the triple-camera setup on the primary camera department. The smartphone has a lens combo of 8MP+40MP +20MP, with various photography modes and stunning image capturing technology. Under the hood, we have the Hisilicon Kirin 970 Artificial Intelligence powered Chipset with 6GB RAM aside.
Both the smartphone have an iPhone X like display notch on the top of the display for the sake of narrower bezels and sensor placements. Unlike every other smartphone in the market boasting a chin at the top including iPhone X, the display area straight to the notch can be disabled if needed, thanks to the OLED/RGBW displays. The P20 Lite is featured with top-tier specifications onboard, while the latter P20 Pro comes with ultra-top level hardware specifications including a triple lens camera, having total resolution of 68MP. The smartphones are manufactured with unique gradient colour finish which stands apart in the crowd.
The Huawei P20 Pro have a 24MP front-facing selfie camera which the company promises uncompromised quality in output images. The P20 Lite will have a 16MP sensor, along with the dual rear camera. The camera images are also powered with AI-driven lighting technology which dynamically adjusts the lighting and background while taking portrait or standard shots. The smartphone manufacturer promises 4,000mAh of battery on the Pro variant with Huawei SuperCharge. P20 Lite has a 3,000mAh battery.
The P20 Pro and P20 Lite prices in India are Rs. 64,999 and Rs. 19,999 respectively. They will go on sale in the country from May 3 as Amazon exclusives. The P20 Pro will be available in Graphite Black, Midnight Blue, and the P20 Lite will be offered in Midnight Black and Klein Blue colour options.
