The most awaited and rumored smartphone from the Taiwanese giant HTC, named HTC U has just got a breakthrough in its launch date. The device will be launched by May 16th, suggests latest leaks. The device was leaked earlier with the codename HTC Ocean, mostly exposed by the twitch leaker Evan Blass.
From the specs sheet leaked so far, we’ve got an idea about the device that HTC’s flagship smartphone for 2017 will be the HTC U, and not anything in “One-series”, which was ended by the devices HTC 10 and 10 Evo.
According to the leaks, the HTC U smartphone will be featured with a 5.5 inch qHD display, with glass back panel. The device will be powered by latest flagship-making Chipset Snapdragon 835 SoC, paired with 4 or 6GB of RAM. The 64GB and 128GB of inbuilt storage space options could be expanded.
The main camera module of the device will be of 12 Megapixels with probably an OIS, PDAF and many more features. The 16MP selfie shooter will make the front camera department. The smartphone will have 3000mAh battery pack, with USB Type-C Port replacing the Headphone jack too. The smartphones will be shipped with HTC Sense 9 UI based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat on-board. No more details regarding the flagship smartphone have been revealed yet.
The company, HTC is planning an online launch event for the device on May 16, 2AM EST (Newyork time).
