The forthcoming sliding smartphone by the Chinese brand Hoor, the Honor Magic 2 just hits China’s Telecom Regulatory Authority Website – TENAA. As usual, the listing on the Chinese government website reveals the complete hardware specifications along with the official photographs in real-life.
As per the TENAA listing, the Honor Magic 2 is the flagship smartphone by the company with no bezel, but a moving body. The hardware specification listing only talks about an octa-core chipset. It is most likely to be the HiSilicon Kirin 980, which the Huawei pushes with the latest Mate 20 series of smartphones. The power source also pairs at most 8 gigs of RAM on the board. There seems to be another lower variant too, which might come with 6GB of RAM. The major storage variants are 128GB and 256GB, confirms TENAA.
The display device from TENAA is in white color, with a glass back panel resembles the Huawei P20 pro smartphone. Likewise, there is a triple-camera setup on the rear as well.
The display panel for the Honor Magic 2 would be around 6.39-inches, without a bezel or a notch. The front-facing camera unit is mounted to a sliding body panel, as we expected. The sliding mechanism of the Honor Magic 2 seems somewhat similar to the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3. Other hardware specs include a 3,400mAh battery pack. Also, the company will release the smartphone with pre-installed Android 9 Onboard, topped with EMUI 9.0 skin.
