FCC (Federal Communications Commission) has listed the alleged Alcatel Idol 5 smartphone on their website listings. The company’s Idol 5s has already been launched back in last month with mid-range specs carried under the hood. Now, the Idol 5 is getting ready to be launched, as the FCC listing is almost ready to take the device out with approval. There has been not many leaks or talks about the device we have seen so far, listed yet it is official now, the Idol 5 is alive.
The FCC listings usually don’t reveal many details about the devices they list, yet with the anticipated Alcatel Idol 5, they have published the complete photographs of the smartphone taken, showing every nook and corner of the device. Alcatel Idol 5 smartphone has many differences from the Alcatel Idol 5s in appearance. Mainly the metal body makes it look different from the glass layer on the Idol 5s. There is no front facing dual speaker grills like that of in 5s. Instead, they have placed the speaker and microphone grills at the bottom, in a conventional Apple style. With the fingerprint scanner position, Camer and other physical characteristics, unfortunately, the device looks similar to almost every Chinese smartphones out there.
From the FCC listing, the Alcatel Idol 5 smartphone is powered by MediaTek MT6753V chipset, carrying the model number 6058. There is no clue about the device launching date or other hardware specifications.
