Chinese smartphone manufacturing giant Huawei releases its latest entry-level smartphone in Y-lineup. There were no official teasers or hints towards the smartphone’s launch. Several hours ago, the Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) spotted to be listed on company’s official website secretly. The device comes with basic entry level hardware specifications on board. Still, there is no mention about the price tag it would carry.
Huawei Y5 Prime 2018 has a 5.48-inch HD+ display, having a contemporary aspect ratio of 18:9, but having thicker bezels around. The smartphone is powered with the processor having the clock rate up to 1.5GHz. Also, the device has 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage space. You can expand the storage capability using SD Card. On the rear, the Y5 Prime boasts a 13MP single lens camera setup and a 5MP setup on the front.
The Android 8.1.0 Oreo running smartphone does not come with a fingerprint scanner. Instead, the company offers a face unlocking feature that will be available since an upcoming OTA update. The battery is juiced up to 3,020mAh capacity.
Huawei’s official website gives no information about the official availability of the device, nor the price listing. Hopefully, the device will reach out to certain Asian and European markets soon.
