Huawei recently announced the availability of its latest version of EMUI (Emotion UI) as Open Beta for many smartphones, along with the official unveiling of the Huawei Mate 20 series of smartphones. The newest version EMUI 9 comes with the Android 9.0 Pie Operating System under the skin layer. The Huawei Mate 20 and other smartphones in the latest row already runs the EMUI 9.0 and other flagships are currently in need.
From the official announcement of the list for the devices that will be definitely rolled out to the latest EMUI 9, all of the current smartphones are flagship ones. Huawei and Honor branded smartphones that are powered with the HiSIlicon Kirin 970 Chipset are in the list. With today’s revealing, the support for the EMUI 9 is now extended to 10+ smartphones including the new Mate 20 series devices. Here is a list of Huawei and Honor smartphones that are eligible to run the EMUI 9 as Beta and the official rollout by the end.

The current rollout contains the Beta version only. Plus, the update is limited up to 5,000 users per smartphones, and it will first-come-first-server. So, you need to register for the Beta program through the Huawei Beta app. If you have the Friendly User Test (Beta) app on your Huawei, which is from the above list, update it to the latest version. If you do not have the app, download and install it from the Huawei’s official website. You must also register before all the slots go filled.
