Blackberry now started selling the unlocked version of Blackberry KEYone smartphone in Canada via Walmart online stores. The device was actually announced to start selling in Canada by back in early-June, but the company had postponed the date for official seal due to some partner carrier demands and disputes. Now, the Walmart being the first Online store to sell the unlocked variant of the smartphone in Canadian market at $650-$729.
In case you missed, the Blackberry KEYone was announced back in February this year. The smartphone features a 4.5 inch full HD display, powered by Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon Chipset, along with 3GIgs of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The smartphone has a physical QWERTY keypad which resembles Blackberry Passport. The space button is attached with a fingerprint sensor. The Blackberry KEYOne smartphone runs Android 7.0 with more stock-ey skin on the top layer with the Blackberry’s own security features.
Even though the BlackBerry KEYone has only a mid-range level hardware specifications molded inside, it is too much pricey which is about $650. You can actually get any other similar specced smartphone in the much lower price tag, but the security features given by Blackberry are significant for focused privacy users. You can now buy the device if you’re a Canadian and can use any carriers’ networks.
Now, it seems like the device has been gone out of stock in the Walmart, we hope it to get back sooner.
