Asus releases another FOTA update for the Zenfone Max Pro M1 devices

Soon after the latest software release for the premium flagship smartphone Zenfone 5z, Asus has started rolling out the much-awaited FOTA update for the budget midrange series smartphone Zenfone Max Pro M1. However, this update is not a major one and it does not bring any new features or other notable changes. Instead, it is more focused on improving the features and fixing the bugs present in the current version of the software. So you can’t expect any big changes after updating to the latest version of the software.

The update is currently rolling out to the eligible Zenfone Max Pro M1 devices and it will soon hit your devices too. The update is not a heavy package, so it will be like of 50MB or so. However, each and every update are important and you shouldn’t avoid them at all. You can now download the update in your device officially via FOTA. The major improvement in the update includes the improvements in the front camera performance, as the device was being criticized greatly for the underperformed front camera. Now Asus is giving a new life to the front camera of this smartphone.

Another notable change in the new release includes the optimizations in the fingerprint performance. As you all know, fingerprint recognition was a bit slower in the Zenfone Max Pro M1 device. However, this update is expected to fix that issue and improve the overall performance of the fingerprint recognition system.

The new Zenfone Max Pro M1 comes with a 5.99-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080) IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 450 nits brightness. It has a 2.5D arc-glass panel on its top. The display is very expansive and looks fabulous. It runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 64-bit octa-core CPU (8 x Kryo 260 cores) with Adreno 509GPU. The Snapdragon 636 mobile platform is built with 14nm FinFET technology and favours in battery life and gaming performance.
