Lenovo launched “Motorola” Moto G 4th Generation devices, Moto G4 and G4 Plus back in June in India, and a while before it globally. Ever since the Google acquired Motorola, every Moto devices were shipped with Stock Android OS onboard with the earliest update to the latest Android Versions. The same happens on Moto devices, even after the Lenovo’s acquisition.
Now the same goes on with Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus. Lenovo is now rolling out Nougat 7.0 Soak Test for Moto G4 and G4 Plus for selected users from Brazil. The new update improves.. yes, the entire Android OS into a new level, with UI improvements, and many features offered with the Nougat.
How to update Moto G4 & G4 Plus to Android Nougat?
- Charge your smartphone up to at least ~50-60%.
- Turn on Mobile data (Wi-Fi recommended)
- Ensure the free space of at least 1GB
- Go to Settings > About Phone > System Updates
- Check for update
- Accept the terms
- Click Install
If your device has not received the update yet, wait for few days as they give the update based on locations.
Edited : The soak test for Moto G4 series devices weighs 953MB in size, giving for some users only in Brazil. The actual rollout for everyone will start shortly, after the testing.
