Sony has been started rolling out the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for their older flagship devices in Z series, Sony Xperia Z2, Z3 and Z3 compact. By commencing the update for these devices, Sony has been done right as per their promised list revealed back in October 2015. Sony now gives the update by fixing almost every bugs and issues caught in the Beta test version released last month.
Sony now kicked off the MM update for the devices which were part of the previous Beta program, Z2 (D6503), Z3 (6603) and Z3 Compact (D5803) only. Other users having Xperia Z2, Z3 and Z3 Compact devices with different version numbers will have to wait some more time to get the update. The firmware for the currently rolling out update has the build numberĀ 23.5.A.0.570, which is same as the Beta release came in last month.
Apart from the whole OS version change, the update includes the Major Security fix patch update and the new UI for Camera app, updated to Camera 2.0.0. Unfortnately, it’s not gonna be happened in rest of the world. Now it is only given to the users fromĀ US, Russia, Ukraine, Middle East and North Africa, and perhaps Latin America.
