Huawei China just updated their website with the new announcement for the availability of the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the mid-range smartphone Honor 8 Lite in the country. As usual, the company has just opened the Beta test registration for the smartphone users. The update which will b pushed put to the registered users contains the Android 8.0 Oreo Operating System, skinned with the EMUI Version 8 on the top.
Huawei China seems to be better working on the new updates for their smartphones, even the ones which are even couple of years older as well. On the other hand, the Hoor India has recently announced that the company has decided to roll the Android Oreo update for the Honor 8 Lite userbase from India, with the support for Project Treble. However, they have gotten the update covered for the CHina, and for many other nations where they have a large user base as well. But, there will be no updates for the Honor 8.
According to the Huawei China official forum, the following smartphone models with the corresponding carrier aggregation would only be eligible for the update soon.

- Honor 8 Lite Full Netcom (PRA-AL00X) 4GB+32GB
- Honor 8 Lite Full Netcom (PRA-AL00X / AL00) 4GB+64GB
- Honor 8 Lite Full Netcom (PRA-AL00X / AL00) 4GB+64GB
- Honor 8 Lite Carrier Unlocked (PRA-TL10) 4GB+32GB
- Honor 8 Lite Carrier Unlocked (PRA-TL10) 4GB+64GB
Anyone with the smartphone willing for the Oreo update Beta registration can apply for the Beta approval from their website http://betaclub.huawei.com by filling out the forms with the required information. Huawei also warns the users about the Internal Beta test details, which should not be published elsewhere.
As the Huawei China has already begun the process to upgrade every Honor 8 Lite units to the latest version of smartphone Operating System, hopefully, it will roll out to more countries soon.
What about 16gb version.? Did they forget to release it for 16gb
