We have seen from Samsung’s Developer conference is San Francisco that they revealed new innovative ways to include the camera in the display with various cut-outs namely the Infinity-O, Infinity-V, New Infinity. Now we have seen Huawei tease their new Honor line up with what looks like to be an Infinity O display that should be the Huawei Nova 4.
Recent rumors have also hinted at a new Galaxy A8s that could come with the Infinity O display manufactured supposedly by BOE, a Beijing based display technology company.
Now we have an unknown smartphone (possibly in its prototype stage) which was shared on Weibo. This handset comes with a bezel-less no notched phone. What’s interesting is that the device comes with a hole in the center which should be a front camera and if the uploader is to be believed, It is the Lenovo Z5s that we are seeing. The brand’s first phone with a display cut-out.
Although we have no valuable source to prove that this indeed is a Lenovo smartphone or even if it’s a Photoshop version, but one thing that we are sure of is that this trend of no notch, bezel-less trend is growing in demand and with that comes the display cut-outs for housing the front camera unless we finally find a solution to put it under the display which would need yet a few years of R&D to achieve something even close to the ‘New Infinity’ that Samsung has showcased in their Developer Conference.
