Google has produced their own branded flagship smartphones last year labelled Pixel and Pixel XL, whereas they scored the best performing smartphones last year and still the champions. There have been many rumors popping up recently regarding the newer variants for the devices, to be named as Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2. Now, a GFXBench result published on their website reveals the complete specs of the upcoming Pixel XL 2.
According to the listing, the Pixel XL 2 smartphone has a 5.6 inch display with somewhat strange ratio resolution of 2560×1312 px which is somewhat similar to 18:9 ratio introduced by LG and Samsung in their recent flagships. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC clocked at 2.4GHz, paired with 4GB of RAM under the hood. Also it boasts 128GB of inbuilt storage. The device sports a 12MP rear camera, with 8MP front camera. As in their first model of Pixel, the Pixel XL 2 is expected to score the best in DxOMark rating of camera image output, defeating this year’s winner HTC U11. It is not clear whether the Google is planning dual camera or not , yet the GFXBench listing doesn’t seem scored such one. The device runs Android 7.1.1 on board, expected to ship with Android 8.0.
We have seen a rumour about three different variants for Pixel second series, but one model in between the top and bottom models was reportedly cancelled as the good doesn’t want to flood the market with many devices. Anyways, the leaks about upcoming Google flagships are getting faster as the launch date is almost near, few months to go.
