Another Samsung Galaxy series tablet is getting Android Nougat officially in US Market – the unlocked variant of Galaxy Tab S2 (SM-T713). The update is currently rolling out as an OTA update.
Current update weighs around 1GB, but coming with old security patch from April. The latest Security Patch (June) is also expected to rollout as an update later. The update will bring generic features from Android Nougat with Samsung’s updated version of TouchWiz UI.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 unlocked is not the first Tablet to get Android Nougat in OTA. Earlier this year, Samsung had pushed out Nougat update for Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 devices and Verizon also has started rolling out Nougat for Tab S2 for their devices only, few days back.
If you own an Unlocked Galaxy Tab S2, do check if you’re able to see the update notification. Else, you have to wait for few hours and it will reach your device soon. As the Verizon carried Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 users have already started receiving Android nougat 7.0 updated, we can also expect that other carriers too will shortly push out their own firmware to keep their users updated. Also, Samsung will rollout the update for many other OEM unlocked devices in US Market.
