Huawei in China has launched their latest set of smartphones into their Nova Series, Huawei Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus. The new Nova phones come with the USP of 20-megapixel selfie camera and the dual rear camera. Both the smartphones come with Android 7.0 Nougat on Huawei’s EMUI 5.1. It comes in two different variants of storage capacity, battery, and screen size. Their price starts at 2,499 yuan and will be available from June 16.
The Nova 2 packs a 5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, powered by a 2.36GHz octa-core Kirin 659 processor and is paired with ARM Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 128GB with microSD. Whereas the Nova 2 Plus sports 5.5-inch with same on board specs.
Talking about its Camera features, it has a 12MP rear camera with LED flash, PFAF, 1.25μm pixel size, f/1.8 aperture, and secondary 8MP camera. Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus has 20MP front-facing camera for selfies. Coming to the battery department Huawei Nova 2 has 2950mAh and the Nova 2 Plus has 3340mAh battery. The both Nova phones has connectivity features includes Hybrid Dual SIM (nano+nano/microSD) 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/Glonass, USB Type-C.
The successor of last year’s Nova Phones, Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus will have AK4376A Hi-Fi audio chip for 3D surround sound experience and a fingerprint sensor. Both the phones will be available in Green, Rose Gold, Black, Gold, and Blue colours.
Huawei Nova 2 is priced at 2499 yuan (US$ 364) and the Nova 2 Plus is priced at 2899 yuan (US$ 423) and will be available from June 16 onwards.
