Android 7.1.1 update rolling out for Nokia 6 smartphones

Just after 2 months from the official launch of Nokia 6, they are now rolling out an important software update for the device. Nokia 6 smartphones are reportedly receiving Android 7.1.1 Nougat update as OTA. So, HMD Global is keeping their promise for providing proper updates for their Android smartphones.

According to the report, the update is available in some selected markets including China. However, we are still waiting to see the update in our unit. The new update weighs over 395MB and is rolling out in specific countries only. The latest build number is 00CN_3_170 and it brings Android 7.1.1 Nougat version to the smartphone. In addition to that, the update contains April Security patches as well.

The update brings some significant improvements such as enhancements to the phone’s power saving, background management features, support for dual SIM dual standby for 4G and 3G networks and some updates to the phone drivers.
