We are only a few days ahead of the official launch date for Samsung’s upcoming breakthrough flagship smartphones Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. Even the launch date is so closer, more information about the smartphone is being leaked day by day. We have now got a bunch of official images and information regarding the smartphone including a complete spec sheet.
From the leaked story, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will be featuring displays having size 5.8-inches and 6.2-inched respectively. Both will have a resolution of 2560 x 1440 px with the ratio 18.5:9, which is bit higher than that of LG G6. Samsung offers detailed color richness and perfect sharpness for these screens. As like in the earlier leaks, the smartphones will have both Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 versions with 4GB of RAM equipped. The 64GB of internal storage is expandable up to 256GB via SD Slot.
The main camera unit of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus would be of 12 Megapixel having 1.4 μm pixel size, f/1.7 Aperture with OIS and PDAF and Laser Autofocus. The front facuing camera is 8MP with wide aperture angle f/1.7, includes also autofocus.
On the front panel, Samsung has added Iris scanner which was already there in Galaxy Note 7; taking the smartphone security into next level. The iris scanner is now faster and accurate compared to Note 7. Just like the earlier Galaxy flagship devices, Samsung offers IP68 certified Water and Dust proof for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus which can withhold underwater up to 30 mins in 1.5 Metre depth.
The devices have stereo speakers, with a 3.5mm Headphone jack at the bottom along with USB Type-C port. The connectivity side integrates 4G / LTE, Bluetooth 4.2 A2DP, apt-X, LE, NFC, WLAN 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac (Dual Band), GPS. The S8 has 3000mAh battery and it raises to 3500mAh while it comes to S8 Plus. The dimensions for the S8 is calculated to 148.9 x 68.1 x 8.0 mm, weighs 151 grams.
Apart from these “usual” spec leak, the new story leads to another two features that Samsung is going to make live along with the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 plus. One among them is DeX, Desktop eXperience station which works like Windows Continuum; the smartphone can be expanded to a PC. Another one is Samsung “Gaurd S8” which isa Galaxy S8 protection policy to be made avilable in some countries. It gives one time free screen replacement, one year extra Warranty and a Remote Support options.
