The popular social media platform, Facebook is reportedly testing a new feature which lets you add GIFs to comments. According to the report by TechCrunch, it will help you add GIFs from the GIFs collections such as Giphy and Tenor as comments.
“Everyone loves a good GIF and we know that people want to be able to use them in comments. So we are about to start testing the ability to add GIFs to comments and we’ll share more when we can, but for now we repeat that this is just a test.” – Facebook This is an era of GIF messaging. Most of the users are loving GIFs over various platforms including Skype, WhatsApp, GroupMe and so on. According to the report, GIF comment button will only be available to a small group of Facebook users initially and will be rolled out to everyone if it proves to be popular.
The new feature will function on search basis. That means you can search for desired GIFs just like in the Messenger app. It is great to see new features from the Facebook. As you know, it is one of the biggest social media platforms out there with around 1.86 billion monthly active users.
