Desktop OS-style window mode in Android N

The Android N Developer Preview had Desktop OS-Style window mode at its Launch but no one was able to turn it on. Afterwards when Zhuowei Zhang helped, Some folks at Ars Technica were able to turn the freeform windows mode on. They did it on Google’s Latest Tablet, Pixel C.

It turns out as you may have expected. The windows are draggable and resizeable. Yeah, It work on both Tablets and Android Phones.

IT’S BETTER SUITED FOR TABLETS!

Now Selecting Recent apps will display an icon on the upper right corner which will allow you to pull the app into freeform. This isn’t real desktop yet. Apps just hover over the background without any icon or title. When resizing the Apps they shift from tablet layouts to phone automatically.
