At this MWC-2016, Chinese manufacturer Gionee introduced their High-End Smartphone packed with some awesome features. It has the Force Touch display feature to give awesomeness in touching with different types of touching pressure, which was firstly introduced by Apple in iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. There were no information regarding the sale date confirmation while the launching. Now the Gionee S8 smartphone is getting certified by Chinese Telecom Regulatory Authority TENAA.
As from the information revealed from earlier in MWC and now the TENAA, the device features Full HD AMOLED display sized at 5.5 inches. Under its hood, there is an Octa-Core SoC clocked at 1.9GHz, probably Snapdragon 810 paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage expandable upto 128GB via SD Card, space allocated. The rear camera sporting 16MP sensor powered with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), and the front facing camera of 8MP.
The device is made of with the dimensions of 154.3×74.9×7.0(mm), weighing 145g. It runs Android 6.0 topped with AMIGO UI, and it will make use of the Force Touch capability of Android N when upgrade available.
The Gionee’s upcoming device S8 carries the battery pack juiced up with 3,000mAh and the connectivity side includes LTE, Wi-Fi and more. The metallic packed device has an oval-rectangular shaped Home button on bottom front panel. The device will be go on sale soon in golden color, priced around $500.
