Huawei’ssub-brand Honor has scheduled an event in India on July 24th. The company has already started sending out the media invitations for the launch of their new smartphone in the Indian market. There have been many rumors citing the launch of a midrange smartphone. However, it is almost confirmed that the company is launching the Indian version of Honor 9i (2018). The Indian version of the device model will be named as Honor 9X. The smartphone is expected to cost around Rs. 17,999 in the Indian market is expected to flaunt with its design and camera features. The invite has #NOORDINARYBEAUTY in Blue and Purple colors and two O’s that hint at a smartphone in different colors and dual rear cameras.
The Honor 9X smartphone comes with a 5.84-inches LCD with a notch and 1080 x 2280 pixel resolution. It is powered by the company’s own Hisilicon Kirin 659 chipset coupled with a 4GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with a 128GB of internal storage, which can expanded using a microSD card for up to 2TB. The device has a dual camera setup on the rear side with one13MP main sensor + 2MP one for depth sensing. On the front panel, the device has a 16-megapixel front sensors for better selfies.
The Honor 9X midrange smartphone comes with a 3,000mAh battery and it runs on EMUI 8.0 custom skin based on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. The company launched the device in China as Honor 9i (2018) and the launch price was CNY 1,399 ($218), which is almost equal to Rs. 14,500. The Honor 9X is expected to come in Black, Blue, Green and Purple colors.
