Samsung India has been recently teasing about an upcoming midrange smartphone in Amazon India, hinted to an On series smartphone. We have seen a lot of rumours regarding the name of the aforementioned smartphone. Now, the smartphone is said to be the Galaxy On7 Prime, which the company has launched in several Asian markets couple of months back, says a reliable source.
Samsung Galaxy On7 is already being sold in the United Arab Emirates. As per the Samsung UAE website, the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime is a midrange device, expecting to be priced at Rs. 15,000. The device comes with a metal unibody design, having a look similar to the Koran manufacturer’s lately launched mid-rangers in J-series and On-series lineups.
Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime features a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display, layered with 2.5D glass on top. The smartphone is powered with an octa-core Chipset clocked at 1.6GHz, must be an Exynos 7, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of Internal Storage. The company offers you an expansion slot supports SD card up to 256GB. The primary camera of the smartphone is 13MP and the front facing snapper sports an 8MP sensor (some sources say the Indian variant for the device would sport a 13MP selfie camera), having an aperture of f/1.9.
The dual-SIM smartphone has separate slots for each SIM and SD Card. The device as 3,300mAh battery under the hood, but still no support for fast changing. On the connectivity side, Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, 2G/3G/4G, ANT+ (for Heart Rate monitoring) and the PC Sync by Samsung named Smart Switch (PC Version).
The device is expected to launch in India soon, this month itself, as an Amazon India Exclusive. The smartphone will be priced around Rs. 15,000.
